Buck O'Neil Bridge

The Buck O’Neil Bridge project is a $220 million design-build project in Kansas City, MO, constructed for the Missouri Department of Transportation. The project is designed to replace an existing 65-year-old bridge that carries US 169 over the Missouri River in downtown Kansas City. The project consists of multiple approaches and flyover bridges, as well as the main-span river bridge. Hayes Drilling worked directly with Clarkson Construction to install multiple permanently cased drilled shafts with diameters up to 102”, depths up to 110’, and rock sockets up to 30’ deep. Scheduled completion for the project is in 2024.
